Nicholas Charles (Chuck) Ginnaty, age 36, passed away on June 21, 2019 in Kalispell. Nick was born on May 24, 1983.
Nick will always be held warmly in our hearts and memories as a talented chef, making everyone happy with his fabulous cuisine. Always willing to try new and best recipes, he kept all of his friends and family well fed with delightful treats from appetizers to desserts. Nick was able to fulfill his culinary passions in his work at a number of well-known restaurants in the valley, as well as in his own kitchen.
He was very proud of his heritage that included relatives from Ireland, Norway and Israel. This curiosity and pride of ancestry led him to exploring recipes from every corner of the world. He was known for his signature Mohawk hair style, often sporting interesting colors, and his traditional British wool cap that he wore even in the summer.
Nick had a giant, loving heart, infections smile and loved making us all laugh. He was a loving son, brother, nephew and friend and will be missed by all.
Nick is survived by his mother, Bernice (Bunnie) Ginnaty, Zachary (Zach) Ginnaty, and his niece Joli, his special love family, Tiff, Maci & Dean and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Ginnaty, his uncles James Ginnaty and Robert Ginnaty, his father Charles Dicken, his Great-grandma Ida Dicken and Grandfather Dicken.
A celebration of Nick’s life will be held at the Vista Linda Restaurant Pavilion, 240 Boon Rd, Somers at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 29. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) in honor of Nick.
