Pamela "Pam" Sue (Goldizen) Keith, 55, "rejoined her loved ones in heaven" on Jan. 6, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She passed away due to complications of cancer.
Pam was born Dec. 28, 1958, in Kalispell. To her family, she was known as "Pami Sue" or "Pappi Too." She began school at St. Matthew's School, and completed grade school at Cornelius Hedges Elementary. During high school, Pam worked as a carhop for A&W, and was also employed by Pepsi.
She graduated from Flathead High School in 1977 and enlisted in the Army.
While in the Army, Pam was stationed in Germany, where she met her first husband, and was married in Copenhagen, Denmark. Pam received three honorable discharges and served for six years. After her service, she returned to Kalispell.
In 1987, she met her best friend and husband, Robert "Bob" Keith. They married March 25,1988, and would spend the rest of her days together. She was honored to be a stay-at-home mom of her two daughters from 1988 to 1994. In 1994, she began her career as a courier for Grizzly Security Armored Express. Pam touched many lives during her years as a courier, where she worked until her passing.
Pam was known to her family and friends as a caring, loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She could knit everything from slippers to quilts, and her baking and cooking were unmatched. Pam loved the outdoors, and spent her entire life rafting, camping and hunting. Her home showed her love of gardening, mirroring an atrium. In her later years, her greatest joy and passion were her four grandchildren, Gavin, James, Makynzi and Callee. Her love for them, and the light that shined in her eyes when they were with her, was seen by anyone in her presence.
Pam was preceded in death by two children, Kent Allen Payson and Robert Charles Payson; her mother, Deanna Celeste (Yerkes) Goldizen; and father, Robert Charles Goldizen.
