Paul Harsh Jr. left his loving family at his home “to go find peace” on the morning of Dec. 29, 2015.
He was born to Paul and Clara Harsh in San Francisco on Sept. 18, 1928. He was raised in San Francisco and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946.
After four years of service at Pacific Gas & Electric, he left to serve in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. Upon returning he resumed his career with PG&E and married his sweetheart, Myrella Gregor, on Aug. 2, 1953, in Oakland, California. After 41 years at PG&E he retired as a building supervisor. Paul was a member of the Lions Club in Sonoma, California, and Bigfork. He was also an active participant with the Bigfork Elves.
Paul had a very loving, caring and kind heart. He enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. He was a positive and driving force for his family. His family will forever hold onto the many great memories of playing games, watching sports, and celebrating many holidays together. He would always be spotted wearing the red Santa hat during the month of December. Christmas was his favorite time of year, and he will always be remembered by the train under the tree.
Paul is leaving behind many loved ones who were by his side through all the battles. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Myrella M. Harsh, of Kalispell; his five children, Deborah and Ken Amaral of Pollock Pines, California, Diane and James Robertson of Bigfork, Paul Harsh of Santa Rosa, California, Patricia and Darryn Silveria of Sonoma, and Darlene Harsh of Woods Bay; his eight grandchildren; Michelle Culver, Nicholas and Kourtnee Amaral, Aaron and Candice Franklin, Tessa Robertson, Ian Furniss, and Mitchel Harsh; and seven great-grandchildren; Landon, Katrina, Lekseea, Jayden, Jazmine, Christian and Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Harsh, father Paul Harsh, and daughter Pamela Harsh.
He was one of the best fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers.
