Pauline Becker, 84, of Kalispell, Montana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 . Pauline was born October 29, 1933 in Kingswood, South Australia, Australia to Charles Russell Nottle and Minnie Mrytle (Wundersitz) Nottle. She was the second oldest of six children: June, Shirley, Graham, Kay, and Brian Nottle.
Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Charles Nottle; mother Minnie Nottle, and husband Wayne Becker. She is survived by her three daughters Susan and husband Patrick Mulvey of Houston, TX; Sandra and husband Warren Davis of Lakeside, MT, and Annette and husband Caven Boggess of Pewaukee, WI; four grandchildren Jeff Bauer, Kaley Boggess, Kimberly Mulvey Benjamin and husband Noah Benjamin, and Patrick Mulvey Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Caden Bauer.
She was raised in Kingswood, South Australia, and graduated from Mitcham School then later worked in the retail industry. Pauline was also a excellent tennis player. Pauline met Alex Szeberenyi shortly after he emigrated from Hungary and were married in 1955. Together they had three daughters. In May of 1962 the family immigrated from South Australia to South Bend, Indiana, where she worked as a Fashion Buyer at Robertson’s Department Store from 1972 to 1986 and then for Olan Mills Photography Studio. On May 20, 1990 Pauline married Wayne Becker in South Bend and in 2003 they relocated to Gilbert, AZ. During her retirement, Pauline found her talent for pastels, continued to play golf, became a champion at the community tennis club, and enjoyed traveling. She especially enjoyed charity work for children.
A Christian Service will be held at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery, Mesa, Arizona in April. We send a special thank you to the devoted caregivers of Expressions Memory Care who danced with Pauline and watched her sparkle, and to Frontier Hospice.
