Phyllis Mccarthy

Phyllis Jane (Ripatte) McCarthy, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2018 surrounded by her family, which includes:  4 children, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Phyllis was born in Lake City, Michigan in 1932, the youngest of 3 children.  She married Jack McCarthy in 1952 and they had 3 children (Nancy, Janice and Shannon) in 3 consecutive years, all born in September.  Ten years later, Mary was born, also in September.  In 1959, the McCarthy family moved to Somers, Montana and Phyllis has lived in the Flathead Valley since then.

Phyllis was a true right-brained artist.  She loved gifting her family and friends with original watercolor art.  Music was always a big part of her life; singing and playing the piano, directing the church choir and occasionally performing in musicals.

She was well known for selling jewelry and furniture and picture frames in Kalispell.  You may have items in your home sold to you by Phyllis.
