Richard Dean “Dick” Mizer, 82, passed away in Kalispell on Oct. 2, 2015.
Dick was born Oct.12, 1932, in Mason, Michigan. He grew up in Michigan, then moved to Las Vegas, and finally settled in California.
Dick was a proud U.S. Air Force pilot. After the military, he became an over the road truck driver.
He married Patricia Smith in Escondido, California. They had been married for 40 years prior to his passing.
Dick always put his family first, placing importance on family over all else. He also enjoyed camping with family and dancing with Patricia. Dick was a loving and marvelous man.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, a son Randy Miser, and daughter Linda Wright, and one grandson.
Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia; and children, Pam Rogers, Kim Brasher, Edward Wimble, Robert Wimble and Judy Noni; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
