It is with deep sorrow and enduring hope that we announce the death of our beloved, Robert Jacob Crisp. Jacob was kind and compassionate. He was intentional in relationships by reaching out and staying connected, desiring a deeper level of communication with those he loved. He cherished these relationships and was determined to keep every one of them throughout the years, never holding a grudge nor allowing offenses to get in the way. Jacob never met a stranger and was not forgotten by anyone he met. He loved deeply and was loved deeply by many friends and family.
Jacob was known to his friends and family to be a true Renaissance man whose wide-ranging interests enabled him to be helpful in almost any solution. Whether you needed a house constructed, an engine rebuilt, a computer repaired, or a wiring diagram CADed, Jake was your guy. If you needed someone to teach you how to use a piece of software, Jake was the one to call. He will be missed anywhere there is work to do and people who need help.
“Jakie” always enjoyed doing things with the people he loved like fun days with his momma and building his own toolbox with his stepfather. Since he was little he was always seriously protective of his momma. He was very close with and adored his baby brother, Mikie, who he affectionately called “Boogerhead.” He looked up to and admired his older brother, Josh, and always knew his Sissy Pooh was his biggest fan. He will always be remembered for so much love and to all that ever met him, he will never be forgotten.
Jacob was preceded in death by his beloved Mamaw and Pawpaw, who were always there for him. He leaves behind his mother, Donna Roberts, stepfather, Jeff Arnold, 3 siblings: Joshua Crisp, Amanda Taylor, and Michael Arnold, his Uncle James and Aunt Theresa, his cousin Jenell and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he dearly loved.
Jacob also leaves behind his father, Scott Crisp, who thought the world of him. There were seasons when it was just the two of them and many hours spent working on cars, boats, jet skis and four wheelers. Jacob loved his father passionately and although he grew to be a man, Jacob will forever be Scott’s little boy.
Jacob also leaves behind a wife, Jacqui Crisp, and two beautiful daughters: Evelette and Aria. These three gifts from God are what kept him moving forward and striving to be better.
We will miss you, but we know the glory to be revealed when we meet again.
