Robert Weber

June 9, 1952 — August 13, 2011

Robert "Bob" Weber, Jr., age 59, passed away on Aug 13th, 2011 losing his heroic battle with cancer. Surrounded by his family he peacefully joined his daughter Joyce, brother Steve and parents, Robert Sr. and Joyce (Hehman) Weber.
The eldest of 6 children, Bob was born on June 9, 1952 in Spokane WA. He often spoke of "crazy escapades" with his siblings while living in Northern Idaho and the Spokane area. In 1971 he graduated high school from IHM Academy in Coeur' d Alene, ID. While raising his boys, Matt & Mark, Bob worked and paid his way through school. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in accounting and business. His determination to finish what he started is part of the legacy he leaves with all of us. Through his career as a CPA, controller and corporate officer Bob traveled all over the U.S. to meet his customers needs. With the business world entering the computer age Bob did the same. In order to solve any problem he was always able to rig something with ductape and a bolt. Really though he preferred a computer to solve those problems and was very good doing it. He blended his incredible business knowledge with numbers, hardware & software. Working for some of the big players like Unisys, he was part of a emerging world of business known as the computer age.
Having spent a successful career in the corporate world his next move would prove to many how amazing he really was. The starting of his own business and his marriage to Cheryl Ladderoute. Business ownership represents the American dream for many. Even more important to Bob was his marriage to Cheryl. Cheryl gave him a renewed perspective on life, and someone to share life's possibilities with. He was truly a new man from that point on. Bob had endured many of life's most difficult challenges and did with amazing strength and integrity. Bob and Cheryl moved to Kalispell MT where he started a FASTSIGNS business. Their move to Kalispell afforded them the opportunity to be nearer to family and Glacier Park, both of which he loved dearly. Bob's greatest pleasure in life was being with his family. Enjoying outdoor activities while camping and traveling in his Winnebago was the ultimate in happiness. While growing up most of his fondest memories were traveling with his parents and siblings to National Parks around the country. He shared that passion and passed on that special bond with his children and grandchildren. Another passion he shared with his father, brothers and past on to his sons and grandchildren was that of classic cars. As far as Bob was concerned there was none better than a 57' Chevy Bel-Air. He was a fisherman, water skier, golfer, hiker, lover of any and all sports, a lover of the outdoors and any activity that allowed him time with his family. Given the choice of a Hawaiian vacation or a day spent watching bowl games with his boys and a bunch of "munchies" he would choose the later. So would his boys.
His parents taught him about self- reliance, hard work and generosity. He was a quiet, strong man who will be missed beyond what words can describe.
He was preceeded in death by his daughter Joyce, his brother Steve, and his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife Cheryl of Kalispell; son Matt Weber, daughter-in-law Marti, grandsons Gavin, Cameron, Evan and Dylan all of Stevensville; son Mark Weber also of Stevensville; brother Jeff Weber and wife Bridgette of Polson; sister Jan Roberts and Hugh Bartleson of Spokane; sister Lesley Austin and husband Mike of Spokane; and sister Amy Weber and Nancy Slick of Hansville, WA. He was also loved and admired by Cheryl's children Paul Jensen, Erika Thompson and Angela Farnsworth and known as "Grandpa" by their children Taylor, Karlee and Logan.
