Romona Belle Gregg, 53, “went to be with the Lord” on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born October 21, 1962, in Culver City, California, the youngest daughter of Frank and Eva Gregg. Early years were spent in California and then the family moved to Denver, where she became an avid Bronco fan.
After graduating from high school she attended Nebraska Christian College in Norfolk, Nebraska. Following graduation, she returned to Denver and took a position at Frontier Airlines in customer service and attended Front Range Community College. Her service with Frontier Airlines allowed for many memories and adventures with her family. She was able to discover with her loved ones at her side, Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, the East Coast and Kansas.
Deciding to start a new adventure in 1990, Romona moved to Kalispell, where she explored her family roots. She continued in the travel and service industry until 2007 when she went to work at Walmart, attaining her position as an accounting associate until illness prevented her from continuing.
Foremost in Romona’s life was her love and worship of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her soul flourished during singing and listening to Christian music. Her concern and encouragement for others touched a lot of lives. Even during her struggle with cancer she continued to uplift and inspire those beside her.
Romona’s other passion was the pursuit of writing and was proud of being a published author. She enjoyed the companionship and support from her writer’s critique group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eva Gregg, and her brother-in-law, Russell Nichols.
She is survived by sister Helen and husband Mike Wagner, brother Richard and wife Theresa Gregg, sister Leona and husband Mike Steenson and multiple nieces and nephews.
Service for Romona will be at 1 p.m. Tuesdya, Jan. 19 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with burial at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
