Roy S. Dimond, age 89, passed away on August 10, 2014. Roy was loved by many who shared his passion for life, the outdoors, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He was an Eagle Scout and a Sea Scout. Roy was a longtime member of the Audobon Society and local hiking clubs. Roy proudly served the U.S.A. in the U.S. Navy during WW II, including combat in Okinawa and Iwo Jima. He was a 60 year member of the I.B.E.W. as an electrician. Roy was preceeded in death by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn Krieg Dimond and his sister Barbara Dimond Hoback. He is survived by his nephews Mike Hoback and Robert Fischer and family. A service for "Veteran's Only" will be held at the Kalispell V.F.W. on Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life "for all others" will be held at Sykes in the near future.
