Sandie Gordineer passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 78 years old in Kalispell, Montana. Born in Salem, Ohio, she was the oldest of four children of Fritz Heinrich (Fred Henry) and Mary Dorothea (Schmidt) Drotleff. Sandie graduated from Salem High School in 1961 and then continued on to graduate from Capital University and Timken Mercy Hospital School of Medical Technology.
She married the love of her life, Donald J. Gordineer on August 28, 1965. Together they had 3 sons: John (Meghan), Josh (Skye) and Pieter James, who passed away as a child on December 9, 1975. She loved and cherished her six grandchildren: Finn, Brenna, Stella, Mason, Hadley and Julia all of San Jose, California.
Sandie spent the majority of her career in medical technology as the director of the laboratory at Big Horn County Memorial Hospital in Hardin, MT. She loved the rugged, wild beauty of northwestern Montana and retired in 2005 with Don to Dayton, Montana, where they built their dream home overlooking Flathead Lake. For 15 years they shared their home with family and friends and created a lifetime of memories.
Sandie leaves her brothers James M. (Judy) Drotleff and Fred Henry (June) Drotleff and sister Dorothy J. (Fred) Conser as well as Fred’s sons James and Daniel, all of Salem, Ohio along with many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. MST at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 4th Ave E, Polson, MT and webcast on facebook live at https://www.facebook.com/goodshepherdpolson/live/.
