Scott Pieffer

August 8, 1970 — May 6, 2012

Scott was born August 8, 1970 to Gary and Nancy Peiffer in Kalispell, MT. He was raised in Somers, attended Somers Elementary School, and Kalispell Junior High School. He graduated from Flathead High School in 1989. Scott started dating Kari Anne Galle while she was in college. They were married July 30, 1994 at Northridge Lutheran Church in Kalispell. Scott bought a small house on the west side where they started their life together. Scott has been married to the love of his life for almost 18 years. During that time Scott and Kari were blessed with two wonderful sons to complete their family.
Immediately, out of high school, Scott went to work for Montana Tractor as a heavy equipment mechanic where he was able to learn from his dad. He also owned and operated a mobile sandblasting business during this time. Scott was a go-getter, always having jobs lined up- constantly on the go! He had a saying "work now, you can always sleep later." Scott worked for Montana Rockworks for three years. Most recently Scott had an opportunity to work at Anderson Masonry as the shop foreman. For eight years he put in long hours of dedicated service. He was loyal, dependable and always at least 2 hours early. Just recently Scott purchased a Snap- On Tool business franchise. He was excited to take on this new chapter in his life. Scott could do anything. His most prestigious accomplishment was serving as the "Mayor of Hilltop Avenue," a highly coveted position that only the greatest could hold. Yearly block parties on Hilltop were the highlight of the fall.
Scott served on the Board for PeeWee baseball and was a member of the Moose Club in Evergreen. He coached baseball, basketball, and football. Scott's greatest love was coaching Brady and Casey, as well as their teammates. His children looked up to him. He was truly their mentor, best friend, and the dad every boy deserves. He had a great knowledge of sports and a way of teaching that not only brought out their skills but made it incredibly fun. Kids loved Scott for his playful teasing-something all our children will miss immensely.
We appreciate all of the kind words, especially from the children Scott reached. Including, "Today, a great man has been lost in our very own town. Not only was he kind, friendly, tough, and quite the partier, but he was also an unbelievable father and husband. He will be missed greatly as a friend and a neighbor. Rest in peace Scott Peiffer. Your life will be cherished in our hearts forever."
OR This quote from the kids-
"This weekend we lost a great person as well as my favorite coach. We all love you Coach Peiffer you will always be remembered in our hearts. Our prayers go out to the Peiffer family. R.I.P. Coach Peiffer"
Scott played baseball, softball, football, and basketball and did it well. Many of his lasting friendships were created during those times. These experiences made him an amazing coach. Scott was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed rafting, boating, fishing, camping, and cruising in "Olivia", the family RV. Scott, his brother Todd, his wife, and his boys were all enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steeler fans. Scott was our leader of fun and entertainment at any and all occasions. His greatest asset was his quick wit and sense of humor; you couldn't be around him without a great belly laugh. His greatest gift to others was his love for family, friends and life.
He is survived by his wife Kari and their two boys Brady 12, and Casey 10 of Kalispell; his parents Gary and Nancy Peiffer of Somers, MT.; sister Laurie Peiffer and her son Eric Peiffer of Kalispell; brother Todd Peiffer and his sons Gary, David, and Daniel Peiffer of Rescue, California; mother and father-in-law Joe and Kathy Galle of Kalispell; brother in law Craig & Anna Galle and their sons Trevor and Brooks of Omaha, NE; brother in law Dan Galle and Kelly and daughter Rylee and son Grayson of Kalispell. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Albert Peiffer and Loretta and Steve Olson, and Harry and Dorothea Walker.
