Suzanne Mcrae

September 24, 1956 — January 11, 2019

Suzanne “Susie” Lea (Gwynn) McRae, 62, passed away on January 11, 2019, after her second courageous battle with cancer.  Susie was born September 24th, 1956 to William & Edna (McKenzie) Gwynn of Eureka, MT.  Susie grew up in Eureka and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1974.  After graduation, she spent a year learning to become a seamstress and the craft of working with chenille from her aunt Mae (McKenzie) Paige.  This love of crafting and creativity eventually led Susie to her own small business, Suzie’s Sewing & Lettermans Jackets. Susie was a Jane of all trades, and never encountered something broken she couldn’t fix herself.  Her incredible creativity was evident in everything she did, from cooking, wood and glasswork, sewing, and personalized gifts for many family member and friends’  weddings and Christmases.  She loved billiards, walks around the lake, gardening, animals, and spending time with friends and family.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Cindy Viano (Larry), and the two great loves of her life, Kevin Kunze, and ManLee, her faithful Yorkie.  She is survived by her sisters, Shelley (Tom) Shay, & Kelley (Terry) Comstock; her children, Christopher Hibbert (Bianca), McKenzie (Nick) Camp, & Michael McRae; her grandchildren, Risa Hibbert, Kayla Hibbert, Hayley Bouchard, Aaden Camp, Zoey Camp, Gracie Camp; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved Yorkies, MaeZee, Dewey, and Tubba.  Susie was the most loving mother, and grandma (melmo, mamaw, mamow), and she will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched with her art, wit, and love.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita Support Inc. (AMCSI), in the name of her grandson, Aaden Camp, at PO Box 6291, Spartanburg, SC 29304.  A celebration of life will be held April 27, 2019 at the Eagles Lodge, 316 E. Main St., Bozeman, MT, at 3:00 pm.  Please join us and share your memories of our beloved Susie.
