Terry was released from his pain on Dec. 7, 2020 after a short and hard fought illness.
He was born in Linton, Indiana. on Aug 27th, 1950 and was raised in Vista, California, through his young teen years where he graduated from Vista High School in 1969. He was a three sport letterman in football, wrestling and swimming. Soon after graduation, and during the Vietnam War, Terry enlisted in the Marine Corps. In 1971 he was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal.
Not long after release from the Marines he moved to Billings, riding a Yamaha 250 dirt bike all the way from California. He was determined, despite facing rain, sleet and snow (literally), to make it to Montana on that dirt bike. Terry bought his first motorcycle when he was 12 with his own hard earned money. He had a motorcycle in his life forever after.
After arriving in Billings he had a variety of jobs. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do or figure out how to do. In 1976 he met his future wife, a Billings girl named Karen Hannah, while both worked for the Billings Water Treatment Plant. From day one she was Hannah to him. They moved to the Flathead Valley where they married in 1978 and he became stepdad to three daughters, Fawn, Tammy and Kris. Terry was a career plumber and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the city of Columbia Falls for many years and retired from BNSF in 2013.
Terry loved the outdoors and enjoyed many outside activities. In addition to the aforementioned love for motorcycles, he loved camping, hiking and hunting. He was always up for a good bonfire with family and friends. He loved his family, especially his two precious granddaughters, Tayler Johnson and Reese Scott. In addition to his granddaughters, Terry is survived by his wife Karen Hannah, stepdaughters, Fawn Fox of Boston, Tammy Hauser and her husband Joe Hauser of Columbia Falls, and Kris Scott, also of Columbia Falls. He is also survived by his brother Ed Fox and his wife Robyn, Jim Fox and his wife Kathy and his sister, Suzanne, all of Kalispell. He's also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert T. Fox, and mother Alice (Patton) Fox.
Terry is now pain free and living (and riding his motorcycle) amidst the nature he so loved.
