Thomas C. O’Donnell, 71, passed away in his favorite recliner at his Kalispell residence on Feb. 24, 2015.
Thomas was born June 19, 1943, in Astoria, Oregon, the son of Charles and Esther (Restermeyer) O’Donnell. Thomas grew up in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Carpenter and the USS Ranger during the Vietnam conflict (1962 to 1969). After being discharged, Thomas worked for the Paradise Valley Hospital for 35 years as a computer technician.
Thomas married Barbara Shelley in Reno, Nevada, in 1969. They were married for 36 years, when Barbara passed away.
He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Kalispell.
Thomas enjoyed cheering for the San Diego Chargers and the San Diego Padres. He would lobby anyone who would listen, that chocolate should be one of the basic food groups, and like spoiling his cat.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Esther O’Donnell; and his wife, Barbara O’Donnell.
Thomas is survived by a nephew, Sean, and Shannon O’Donnell; and a niece, Anne, and Chuck Peterson; grand-nephews, Wyatt McGillen, Scott O’Donnell, Gavin Peterson and Reilly Peterson; and a grand-niece, Molly O’Donnell.
The family suggests memorial remembrances be made to Epworth United Methodist Church — Nalty Mission Fund, 329 2nd Ave. E., Kalispell, MT. 59901.
A family celebration will be held during the summer.
