Velma Aasheim

June 5, 1915 — August 6, 2010


Velma Aasheim, formerly of Antelope and Plentywood, Montana passed away at Immanuel Lutheran Home on August 6, 2010, at age 95.


She was educated in the Antelope public school and received a degree in Home Economics from MSU, Missoula in 1936.


She married Magnus (Mags) Aasheim that year and they lived in Belfrey for a year where he taught school. From there they moved to Outlook MT, then to Froid. In 1945 they returned to Velma’s parents’ farm in Antelope to take over the farming operation that her father had homesteaded.


Velma and Mags were married for 72 years, Mags preceded her in death in 2008. Her parents, Jesse and Pearl Clark, and sister Lois Clark also preceded her in death.


Survivors include sons Gary (Peggy) ofBillings, Glen of Lakeside, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
