Vivian Mardell (Garbe) Malson, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and savior on Monday August 22, 2016. She was born June 23, 1927 in Ebenezer, Saskatchewan. At age sixteen, Vivian married Harold at Knox United Church in Calgary, Alberta on December 15, 1943. They shared 61 years together as sweethearts, moving from Canada to California and finally settling in the Flathead valley. Vivian loved painting, dancing, gardening, quilting and most of all family and friends. She had a soft spot for animaIs and never met a stranger. She was a member of the local Square Dance Club, Good Sam Club and Northridge Heights Church of God.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Darlene Scott and her husband Charles of Garland, TX; four grandchildren Heidi Scott-Bethards of Kalispell, Brandi Scott-Hoy of Mckinney, TX, Charlie Scott of Dallas, TX and Anthony Scott of Addison, TX and 3 great grandchildren Emerson, Falyn and Charles.
Harold preceded her in death along with her parents, sister and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 30 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 am on Wednesday August 31 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Larry Lautarat will be officiating and burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens. There will be a celebration of life at Homewood Suites by Hilton.
