Warren Douglas Hartry of Marion passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011.
He was born Jan. 16, 1956, in Oakland, Calif.
He is survived by his mother, Jeannine Hartry; sister, Wanda, and Dennis Bissell; daughters, Dawn and Travis Quaale, and Courtney and Brittney Hartry; son, Caleb Hartry; grandsons, Kai and Carter; and nephews, Brian and Jeff Marcus; in addition to numerous loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Hartry; and brother, Stuart Hartry.
Warren was a kind and loving person to both humans and animals alike. He enjoyed life to its fullest and was always seeking spiritual progress. He used his various life experiences to work with and make a difference in the troubled lives of many with substance abuse problems. He was recently presented with a coin celebrating 16 years of sobriety.
Warren loved the outdoors and spent many days either cold or warm, fishing, hunting, camping, and on whatever adventures he could dream up.
Most importantly, he was a loving son, dedicated father, cherished brother, and brought laughter to all who knew him.
There will be no service at this time. A family memorial is planned at a later date
