Wilford Quentin "Bill" Starbuck, age 86, passed away Friday July 8, 2011 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Born December 21, 1924 in Ramona, Oklahoma, Wilford was raised and attended school in Ramona before graduating from 8th grade. He married Carol Anna Nordtome on April 4, 1964. They had been married for 47 years. Bill was in the U.S. Navy Submarine Coprs during WW II. He then worked for a sawmill in Oregon and then the C & C which later became Plum Creek. After 32 years in the mills, Bill retired. He loved to fish and hunt, enjoyed driving tractor for his brother-in-law, and loved to do word search puzzles by the hour. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Nita Gertrude (Hauger) and Ernest Glen Starbuck; brother Glenn Tillison Starbuck of Ramona, OK; sister Bella Jean Haley of Golden, CO. Bill is survived by his wife Carol Anna (Nordtome) Starbuck of Kalispell, MT; sister Grace Johanson of Andover, NJ; brother John Starbuck of Highland, CO, and numnerous nieces and nephews and friends.
