William Affonso

William C. “Bill” Affonso, 84, passed away on Nov. 5, 2020 at Brendan House.

Bill as he was known, was born on December 27, 1935 in Los Banos, Calif., to William Affonso, and Carmen Aso where he grew up on a beef and dairy farm, graduating from Los Banos High School in 1953. Bill served honorably in the US Army from February 1955 - February 1957. Bill met and married his wife Cecelia M. Nunes of Gustine, Calif., in 1958.

Over the next 60 years they worked together to raise their 4 children. Instilling in them a love of animals, and the discipline and rewards of hard work. Moving to “Heaven on Earth” Montana in 1992, residing in Columbia Falls. Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting in his later years and made many friends in the Flathead Valley.

Bill's wife Cecelia passed on Jan. 4, 2019.

Bill is survived by his children Deborah, William, Kathleen and Scott as well as 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Nov. 11, 2020 from 3 to 6.p.m. at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday Nov. 12, 2020 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with burial at Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors.
