Kalispell

Kalispell resident Bill Lowthian passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 5, 2019, holding the hands of his two daughters, Lee and Jill. He was 73.

Bill was born in Peru in 1946, spent his younger years in Arizona and California, and settled in Jackson, Wyoming, in 1970 where he stayed until 2018. He then moved to Kalispell to be closer to his oldest daughter.

Bill spent his career as a classically trained bartender. Other interests included billiards, boxing and fishing. Bill cherished his quiet and peaceful time on beautiful lakes in Teton National Park.

His daughters will always remember their dad as a source of constant, unwavering love and support.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Ilene Lowthian, father, John Lowthian, and sister, Peggy Applegate.

He is survived by his two sisters, Pat Foster and Johnna Sharples, and his two daughters, Lee Daugherty and Jill Mendez.

A gathering with friends was held in Jackson on Nov. 12 in celebration of Bill’s life.
