Wilma Drennen, 83, passed away Jan. 28, 2016, in Kalispell. She was born March 26, 1932, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to William and Laura (Tooley) Schlichting.
On July 9, 1950, she married Roy Drennen and they had 57 years together before Roy passed away. Wilma was baptized Dec. 12, 1948, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of 16. Everyone who knew her realized that serving Jehovah was her first priority in life. She stayed faithful in her beliefs down to her death. “Now she is asleep in death waiting to hear Jesus’ promise, ‘...all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...’” John 5:28,29.
Wilma was blessed with nine children: Roger Drennen of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; Clinton (Cathy) Drennen of Roseburg, Oregon; William (Brenda) Drennen of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; Deborah (Wade) O’Myer of Kalispell; Carol Garza of Roseburg, Oregon; Brent Drennen of Winston, Oregon; Melanie (Tracy) Kau of Lakeside; Vincent Drennen of Canyonville, Oregon; Daniel (Launa) Drennen of Florence, Oregon; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Wilma is also survived by three siblings, Vivian Heriford of Crescent City, California; Elwin Schlichting of Vernon, Arizona; Nora Webberly of Toledo, Washington.
Wilma will be truly missed until we see her again in the paradise to come. There will be a memorial at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1414 Woodland Ave. Friends are encouraged to visit www.buffalohillfh.com to post notes of condolences for the family.
