Wonita Clara Drake
Wonita Luke Drake age 81, passed away July 4, 2015. Wonita was born September 20, 1933 to
Thomas and Una Ritter Luke, in Kalispell Montana, at her Grandmothers’ home on 8”‘
Avenue West. She spent her entire life in Kalispell.
Nita married Ernest Drake October 1950 and to this union there were three children born;
Edward Ernest Drake (who passed away at childbirth), Shellene Bernice Reese and David
Ernest Drake.
In her younger days she had many jobs; including house cleaning, taking care of children,
working in the Christmas tree yard, potato farm and C&C Plywood plant. She later got
involved with her new hobby ceramics; through this she met many new friends.
Wonita and Ernest were proud and excited in 2009, when they were baptized at the Faith
Life Family Church in Kalispell.
She is preceded in death by her husband Emest Drake, son Edward Ernest Drake, her
parents, brother Thomas Luke, grandson Christopher Drake, great grandson Lukas Leigh.
along with numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by daughter Shellene Reese of Kalispell, son David (Cindy) Drake of
Columbia Falls , grandchildren: Chad Noziska, Sara Noziska, Laci and husband Eric
Burk, Desiree Drake; great grandchildren: Shane Noziska, Taysha Noziska, Dalton
Leigh, Drake Burk and Brycen Burk.
A celebration of Wonita’s life will take place Thursday, July 23”’ at 10:00 A.M. at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with burial at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
