Linda Rae Spencer (Nelson), a long-time resident of the
Whitefish area, died the 29th of January at Diamond Retirement Living in
Henderson, NV. She and Ronald G. Spencer were married for 25 years, and he
departed this life roughly two years ago.
Born in 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT, Linda worked on a Bachelor's Degree at
Brigham Young University, and later at Montana State College (Bozeman), but
stopped short to pursue a career with Pacific Northwest Bell. She is a
graduate of Kinman Business School (Spokane) where she studied clerical,
typing and secretarial functions. Linda drove a school bus for the Cheney
(WA) School District for years and was credited with safe driving and no
accidents during her long tenure.
Linda loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going outdoors, spending time
at the local Moose Lodge, playing games with friends, and had a wonderful
laugh that could light up a room.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark and Scott Kirklin, and several
grandchildren, and even three great-grandchildren, all of whom live in
western United States, and brought great joy to her in later years.
